This applies to the Kootami app and to association apps built on Kootami, operated by Communitify Info Technologies Private Limited. One account signs you in to all of them, so deleting it deletes it everywhere.
In the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Profile (called Me in some apps) and tap the Settings gear.
- Tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
You are signed out on every device straight away.
Without the app
Email support@kootami.com with the subject Delete my account, from the email address on your account, or include the mobile number you sign in with. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we start.
What happens next
- Your account is deleted permanently 30 days after the request.
- Signing in again during those 30 days cancels the deletion and restores your account.
- After 30 days you can no longer sign in, and the deletion cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account: the email address and mobile number you sign in with, and the name and photo on the account.
- Your sessions on every device.
What is kept
- Each association you joined keeps its own records of you: your membership, the name and contact details on its member list, payments and receipts, and event registrations. They belong to that association, which may be required by law to keep them. To have them removed, ask the association, or write toprivacy@kootami.com and we will pass your request on.
- Records the law requires us to keep, such as for tax or fraud prevention, for the period it requires.
Deleting some data only
You can change or remove your profile details, photo and business listings in the app at any time. For anything else, write to privacy@kootami.com. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
